2012 is the year of the Dragon. China Town (Moonta St, Adelaide) will play host to a Chinese New Year Festival on Saturday 28th of January. Highlights will include Asian food stalls, lion dances and fire crackers.
A number of Chinese / Vietnamese restaurants around Adelaide will also hold their own New Year celebrations.
Vietnam Restaurant (Pennington) is celebrating on January 20th, 21st and 22nd. Entertainment includes a live band, lion dance, Kung Fu demonstration and fire crackers.
Lychie (Glenelg) is celebrating on January 27th and 28th with lion dances.
Sugar Cane Restaurant (Adelaide) is celebrating on January 21st and 27th with lion dances.
Citi Zen Chinese Restaurant (Adelaide) is celebrating on January 23rd and 24th and February 2nd and 3rd with lion dances and Kung Fu performances.
